New Student Registration (PK-5)

New Student Registration - Grades PK-5

The First Round of Enrollment for the 2023-2024 School Year for Kindergarten and New Students, grades 1-5, will begin Monday, January 9, 2023, and continue through Friday, March 10, 2023.  Enrolling during the First Round increases your chance of getting into your attendance area school, but there is no guarantee.  Applications received before January 9, 2023 will be rejected.

If your student is currently enrolled in the Bozeman Public Schools, you do not need to submit an application for enrollment.  The “Intent to Return” form for the 2023-2024 School Year will be sent home with your child and will need to be completed and returned to their teacher by Friday, March 3, 2023.

Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before September 10 – no exceptions.  All children who meet the age requirements are encouraged to register for kindergarten.  If you are unsure and have any questions, please feel free to call.  Readiness is being 5!

For the Running Start Kindergarten Program for 4-year olds, the child must be 4-years old on or before September 10 - no exceptions.

Proof of Residency, State issued Birth Certificate and most up-to-date Immunization Records are required as the First Step of the enrollment process.  These documents may be emailed to elem.registrar@bsd7.org; faxed to 406-522-6091; or dropped off at the Enrollment Office, 404 W Main St, Room 139.

The Second Step of the enrollment process will be done online – Click here to see Enrollment Instructions.  The window for the 2023-2024 School Year will not be available until Monday, January 9, 2023.  If you do not have access to a computer, a computer station is available for public use at the Enrollment Office located in the Willson Building, 404 West Main St., Room 139.  Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Please call the Enrollment Secretary, at 406-522-6005 with any questions.
