Wildcats Club is the result of a partnership between The Bozeman School District and The Greater Gallatin United Way; it is funded by a 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant.  The program provides a nurturing and safe environment for students before and after school.  It stimulates the brain growth and development of each child, K-5th grade, as it offers a range of activities: homework assistance, reading development and a variety of other art and recreational/enrichment activities.

PROGRAM GOALS

• To provide an activity program for all Whittier students between 7:30-8:00am and 3:15-5:45pm.

• To provide a safe and nurturing environment.

• To provide positive role models and positive social interaction.

• To provide an environment which is cheerful and relaxing while providing activities designed to complete homework, encourage social interaction, motor development, creativity, curiosity and cognitive growth.

• To maximize the use of existing educational facilities and resources.

ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

Throughout the year, students are offered many exciting enrichment activities such as painting a mural on a plow blade, Earth Science Fair, Spanish Culture, Cheer Club, Nutrition Education/Wellness, puppeteer shows and many more.  It is the objective of the Wildcats Club to present a diversity of opportunities to meet all interests.  These activities expose students to further educational, sport or artistic endeavors they may pursue in the future; thus becoming lifelong learners.
