Elementary School Open Houses…  Please note that ALL the elementary schools will be holding Open Houses on Friday, April 4.  The major purpose of the Open House is to give families an opportunity to visit their neighborhood school prior to completing Intent to Return Forms and/or registration.   See the information below, as times vary from school to school.  This is a wonderful opportunity to visit the neighborhood school whose attendance boundary you live within. 

HealthierUS Challenge…  Most of you are now aware that we have changed much of our lunchroom menu.  We are working with the district kitchen to provide “healthier” meal choices for our students.  We will be holding a month long “challenge” from April 14 – May 9.  We would really appreciate as many students as possible eating hot lunch during this time period and seeing how they like the new meal choices.

Literacy Event…  We will hold our last literacy event for this school year on Tuesday, April 22, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. here at Whittier.  We hope you can attend.  It promises to be a fun and beneficial time for all.  A flyer will soon be out informing you of some of the exciting activities planned for the evening.  A WPO meeting is tentatively planned from 6:00 – 6:30 pm. prior to the literacy event.

Intent to Return Forms…  Intent to Return forms will be sent home on either April 7 or 8.  They will NEED TO BE RETURNED the next day.  Please be looking for them.

Kindergarten & New Student Registration…  Kindergarten and new student registration will occur between April 14 – April 30.  Registration needs to be turned in at the Willson Enrollment Office.


Whittier Elementary School has recently been awarded 2 SPARKS! (Bozeman Schools Foundation) grants.
One for our Whittier choir program and the other for our landscaping beautification project.
