Drafting 1 This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of mechanical drawing tools and concepts. the class introduces both hand drawing tools, as well as computer aided drafting (CAD) software. Subjects such as orthographic projection, dimensioning, basic three dimensional drawing, and architecture are covered. All drafting concepts will be practiced on both the drawing table as well as the computer. There will be an emphasis on neatness and accurancy in drawing. Drafting 2 This course will expand on the concepts learned in Drafting 1 by exploring advanced dimensioning,working drawings, solid modeling on the computer, and architecture. An introduction to architecture-specific CAD software will also take place. As in Drafting 1, all concepts will be explored both on the drawing table as well as on the computer.
