I am a graduate of Montana State University with a B.S. in general science broadfield. I completed research at Montana State University where I worked on the H-alpha system that was flown (Jan. 31, 2006) on the MOSES rocket payload that will be studying the Sun's lower corona and upper transitions region. I have traveled to Kitt Peak National Observatory near Tucson, AZ. and participated in two research projects. As a teacher, I studied the Zeeman splitting and magnectic field strength of the Sun's active regions. I took two students (1/30- 2/1, 2004) for an asteroid research project.
My interests are many: swimming, synchronized swimming, boating, ATV riding, jet sking, mineral & rock collecting, gardening, and traveling.
I love astronomy and have recently received two grants associated with the National Science Foundation and NASA.  I will be introducing students to the Hands On Universe activities which include how to image process telescope images.
