BIO - OCT 09
I have lived in Bozeman for sixteen years now. This 2009/2010 school year will be my eleventh year in the distric. My experience includes student teaching, substitute teaching, special services aide, part-time teacher, and full-time science teacher. This is my seventh year as a science teacher. I am currently pursuing my masters degree in secondary science education at MSU-Bozeman.
I am a Wyoming native, born in Laramie and a graduate of Cody High School. In between infancy and adolescence I lived in New Orleans, Louisianna where I attended parochial school.
I have two undergraduate degrees from Montana State University. One degree is in Biology and the other in Education. While attending college I was a teaching assistant for two semesters. One semester for a biology laboratory and the other semester for an entomology laboratory. During the summers I performed field work for various departments at the university. I worked in the department of plant and soil sciences for an alfalfa geneticist and in the department of entomology.
Another exciting aspect of my life is my family. My husband and I are blessed to have two sons soon to be 3 and 6. I truly enjoy my career as a teacher and spend the remainder of my time being a wife and a mom.
