In 1997, I graduated from Colby College in Maine, where I received a BA in English. A few years later, I received my Master's in English and Writing from Middlebury College (The Bread Loaf School of English) in 2003, and wanting to continue my learning (yes, I love school), I later earned my National Board Certification in 2003 in Adolescent Language Arts. This is my fifth year teaching in Bozeman; before Montana I taught English for 7 years in Aspen, Colorado. At Bozeman High School, I teach English I, Journalism, and Hawk Tawk. I might be a little biased, but I think the Hawk Tawk is the best paper in Bozeman, and I encourage you to pick one up sometime. In my free time, I love to spend time with my husband Jim and our 1 year old daughter Carson. We are expecting another child in July 2008. I am also a board member of the Bozeman Schools Foundation board. Parents and students: please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns during the year: 522-6259.
