Family Spirit Night Wrap-Up

Family Spirit Night Wrap–Up

Family Spirit Night was a huge $$ success for our CJ teachers! For those of you who don’t know, this PAC sponsored event’s sole purpose is to raise money for our children’s classrooms. To date it has been PAC’s largest event, and it requires an enormous amount of work from many different people.

PAC would like to give an enormous THANK YOU to our parent volunteers for all of their organization efforts towards this event! Without you this event simply would not have occurred. In addition, PAC would like to give our sincere thanks to the following individuals and businesses who donated items or services to help make our Family Spirit Night Silent Auction a success:

Zack and Kasey Anderson - Word of Mouth Concepts (Garage, On the
Rise, Naked Noodle, LaParilla)

Library Volunteers and Packing Materials NEEDED!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

To Help Move The CJ Library ! ! !

Parents & Students,

As you all know CJ is moving to a new location next year and
everything needs to be transferred to the new building. One of the first
priorities is the Library. We need volunteers (adults as well as children
are welcome) to help pack up the books that are not being used for the
rest of the year. Packing in general is easy, but the books have to be
packed in such a way that when they get to their new home, they can be
shelved easily and in their proper place.

We are having two short
training sessions:

April 28, 8:30 a.m. and April 30th, 2 p.m.
CJMS Library

Volunteers need to attend ONLY ONE session and can then come in
to box at their convenience to pack as many boxes as they can. We would
like to keep an account of who will be at each training. If you can come to
either call or email Brenda or Don Lucia.
Thanks for any help you can give!

 Packing Materials Needed ! ! !
If you have access to packing peanuts, bubble wrap, or just plain old newspaper we can use it
for some of the fragile artwork. Drop off at the library or school office.

Boxtops and soup labels

Box Tops and Soup Labels
We are still collecting Box Tops and Campbell's Soup labels to earn money for our school. Look for the green box in the CJMS Main Office. It’s an easy way to help.

New SEPTA for the Bozeman Area

New SEPTA for the Bozeman area
The very first official meeting of the new Bozeman area SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher
Association) will be held Monday, April 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the Willson Boardroom. SEPTA, which was
briefly known as IDEA PTA, is a coalition of families, teachers, administrators, and other advocates united in
the effort to promote quality education and services for individuals with special needs and their families.
Guest speaker Beth Verlanic , president of the MT PTA, will be speaking, and helping guide us in
approving and voting in the mission statement, bylaws, standing rules, the first officers, standing
committees, etc. We need and encourage as much input as possible from all interested parties. Please
attend!
For more information, please call interim Publicity Committee members Kelly McNeil (587-9040),
Cindy Bruckner (586-7447), or Dr. Humble, Special Services (522-6054).

Host Families Needed

 HOST FAMILIES NEEDED

Learn about another culture first-hand this summer when your family hosts a Japanese delegate for one month. This in-depth 4-H exchange is unique because foreign delegates are matched with families who have children within two years of age as the delegate they host. Lifelong friendships are formed and the opportunity for
reciprocal exchanges exists. Families do not have to be in 4-H to host. As one host sibling puts it,
“When Yutaro arrived, I thought it was going to be a pretty fun summer. Boy was I ever wrong. I had the best time of my life! I don’t know how I would have managed to pass the time this summer if we hadn’t hosted Yutaro. It was the best choice we ever
made.”

Hosting a foreign delegate can….and will….change your life.
